San Tan Valley
A large, fast-growing community on the north edge of Pinal County, right up against the East Valley and Queen Creek.
About San Tan Valley
San Tan Valley sits in northern Pinal County, bordering Queen Creek to the north and west, with the San Tan Mountains to the south. It is one of the largest communities in Arizona, and on July 1, 2026, it officially became a town, the largest municipal incorporation in the state’s history.
The area has grown quickly over the last two decades, with master-planned neighborhoods, newer single-family homes, and family-friendly parks filling the desert between the mountains and the East Valley. For many residents it has long served as a commuter base for jobs along the US-60 and SR-24 corridors, including the Intel campus in Chandler and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
Everyday shopping, dining, and health care are close by in Queen Creek and the rest of the East Valley, and downtown Phoenix is roughly 35 miles to the northwest. The San Tan Mountains offer nearby desert recreation on their trails and open space.
